Senior Projects Manager
OVERVIEW
We’re seeking a Senior Projects Manager to lead our growth initiatives by driving acquisition strategies and overseeing project execution. This role blends strategic thinking with strong leadership to maximize profitability and enhance project outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management: Oversee the development portion of multi-family projects from start to finish, including budgeting, planning and securing approvals.
Financial Oversight and P&L Management:
Budget Creation: Develop and manage project budgets to meet profitability targets.
Cost Control: Implement measures to prevent cost overruns and ensure financial discipline.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and adjust strategies to optimize profit.
Profitability Optimization: Enhance project profitability through effective cost and revenue management and negotiations.
Scheduling: Define overall project timelines, in collaboration with the Senior Construction Manager on construction timelines and the sales team on sales pace.
Project Management and Execution: Oversee Project Managers to ensure projects meet budget and profitability goals, applying best practices for efficient execution.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and effective resolution of issues. Proactively engage stakeholders to provide updates on project deliverables and clearly address any issues that fall outside the project management scope as needed.
Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and support project management staff, setting departmental goals and driving innovation and excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Project Management Certification. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is considered an asset.
Proven Experience: Over 10 years of senior project management experience with at least 5 years in local construction.
Technical Knowledge: Extensive expertise in managing complex projects and applying project management principles.
