Financial Reporting Summer Student

Do you love the intersection between technology and finance? As a Finance Summer Student, you will support the financial administration of land development projects—tracking rentals, leases and sales, and ensuring financial records align with contracts, deposits, and project activity.You will work at the intersection of finance, legal, and operations, digging to understand the data and creating reports using tools such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI

This role is ideal for someone who wants to understand how real estate projects translate into financial results—one lot at a time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As a summer student you could work on projects pertaining to:

Leasing and Sales Tracking & Financial Records

• Maintaining and updating databases for sales, closings, and interest calculations
• Supporting accuracy and completeness of project-level financial tracking

Closings & Statement Review

• Assisting in reviewing Statements of Adjustments for lot closings
• Identifying discrepancies and coordinate with accounting to resolve issues
• Supporting tracking of deposits and closing timelines

Builder & Stakeholder Coordination

• Assisting in tracking builder accounts and related financial activity

Reporting

• Understanding data and putting together reports from various for financial analysis.
• Supporting reconciliation and validation of LC balances and expiry timelines

Financial Support & Reporting

• Assisting in property tax tracking and reconciliation
• Supporting creation and maintenance of budgeting templates
• Contribute to sales tracking and basic forecasting support
