Procurement (Inventory) Summer Student

As an Inventory & Supply Chain Summer Student, you will support the planning, tracking, and analysis of materials across active construction projects.

You will work closely with Procurement, Construction, and Finance to help ensure the right materials are available at the right time—reducing delays, minimizing waste, and supporting efficient build cycles.

This role offers hands-on exposure to how supply chain decisions directly impact construction timelines, costs, and operational performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As a summer student you could work on projects pertaining to:

Inventory Tracking & Accuracy

Supporting tracking of inventory across yards, warehouses, and job sites

Assisting with inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities

Investigating discrepancies and support data corrections

Helping maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records

Material Planning & Forecast Support

Assisting in tracking material needs based on construction schedules and build plans

Supporting identification of potential material shortages or delays

Helping analyze usage trends and flag excess or slow-moving inventory

Data Analysis & Reporting

Assisting in building and maintaining inventory tracking reports and dashboards

Supporting weekly reporting on inventory levels, variances, and risks

Analyzing basic data sets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Process & System Support

Assisting with maintaining inventory data in ERP/WMS systems

Supporting documentation of inventory processes and procedures

Contributing ideas to improve tracking, accuracy, and material flow
