Senior Site Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Site Assistant to join our construction team. In this critical role, you will provide essential support to the Site Superintendent in managing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. Your primary focus will be ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety on construction sites by managing garbage and debris, conducting snow removal, and performing sweeping and pressure washing. Ensure safe and clean access to all home sites, including stairs, ramps, guardrails, sidewalks, and driveways.
  • Execute deficiency repairs, including framing repairs, minor taping and painting, and installation of locks and miscellaneous hardware (e.g., signage). Perform cabinet and flooring touch-ups, window installations (including basements), door adjustments, stairs and handrail installations, and flooring repairs.
  • Assist the Site Superintendent with quality control checks on framing, insulation, foundations, and pre-occupancy inspections to meet company standards.

Safety Compliance:

  • Install and maintain temporary walkways, stairs, ramps, and handrails to ensure safety across all construction sites.
  • Monitor compliance with building codes and corporate safety requirements, actively promoting a safe working environment.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the project.

Requirements:

Education:High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certifications are a plus.

  • Proven Experience:Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:Familiarity with construction safety standards and building codes preferred.

Construction Knowledge: Understanding of construction processes, materials, and best practices.

Quality Assurance: Ability to maintain high standards of quality control.

Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
