Site Superintendent
The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring homes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards. This role involves managing construction planning, subcontractor activities, and material logistics while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient job site. The Site Superintendent enforces safety compliance, conducts inspections, and ensures all work meets project specifications and local building codes. As the on-site leader, they address challenges proactively to deliver high-quality homes and maintain customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Construction Planning:
- Develop and update detailed construction schedules to meet milestones.
- Coordinate pre-construction site readiness, including inspections and permits.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and address any delays or conflicts.
Project Delivery:
- Monitor project progress to ensure on-time completion and budget alignment.
- Identify and address potential delays or cost overruns proactively.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure homes meet quality standards before move-in.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce the company’s safety program through regular site inspections.
- Conduct safety meetings and training for staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and personal protective gear.
Subcontractor Oversight:
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities to meet deadlines.
- Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Address performance issues and approve work before processing payments.
Material Management:
- Schedule and verify material deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Adjust material takeoffs to prevent delays or unnecessary surplus.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to maintain their integrity.
Site Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Address and resolve construction defects or warranty claims during the build.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local codes and company standards.
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional education or training in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, construction, or a related field preferred.

Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, building codes, and scheduling software.
